After a long time in one place, one job, one church or wherever you are on the road to something new it is always hard to say “Goodbye.” Of course it is nice to feel essential, important and have status, but there is a ‘letting go’ that needs to happen, redeeming the mistakes, remembering with fondness what was good, looking to what may come with the optimism of fresh vistas, but living in the now is where, like Captain Picard, we get to lay in a new course and say “Engage!”
